Some of the activities included learning about mining, and "mining cookies", which involved trying to dig out the chocolate chips and raisins from cookies with a "tooth"pick. The kids got to see an electric car, firetruck and ambulance. Sean loved the ambulance, because they pulled out the motorized gourney and he saw where the buttons were and before we could stop him, he raised and lowered the gourney a few times. I think the firefighters thought he was pretty funny - one said he would make a good firefighter/paramedic some day.
He also got to make a foam picture frame, which he loved putting stickers on. There was also an interesting demonstration on electricity and Grand Valley Power came out and had a mini model of power lines, and they had an electric charge going through them and they demonstrated what happens when different things come into contact with the power lines.
Then we enjoyed a nice lunch outside, before it got really cold and windy. Sean also loved being at Daddy's work and had to help out by coloring on the white board and then getting his exercise running up and down the long hallway outside Dad's room. He ran so much that he completely wore himself out and was asleep a few minutes after we left Steve's office (and he never naps!).
One thing is for sure, Sean loves going to work with his Daddy!
