He can't be stopped....

What do you do when you have a toddler that can't be stopped? Join them I guess. I think Sean's mission right now in life is to reach the unreachable, break the unbreakable, and solve the unsolvable. He has discovered a new aspect of climbing this week - using a chair, a stool, a #10 can or his ride-along to stand on so he can reach something he could not before. He loves dragging kitchen chairs to the counter to play in the sink or anything he can reach on the counter. I rearranged the pantry to put paper items and other things he can destroy out of his reach (since all childproofing methods have failed to keep him out of the pantry). But he found the #10 cans and pulled them off the shelf to the floor to stand on and gained a foot, and was then able to reach the higher "off-limit" shelves.

Then he uses his Winnie the Pooh rider to stand on at the door and he can then unlock the bolt. He also put it in front of the book case to reach the DVD's. Then he took his plastic chair (that goes with a kids table and chair set) and put it up next to the piano, where there is an end table (that is covering all the tv cords and speaker) and he climbed on the chair, then on to the end table and amazingly he can now reach the top of the piano where we keep remotes and anything else we wanted out of his reach!!! Nothing is safe anymore!

We finally had to move some of the gates around and lock other doors. We have to use a pin key to unlock the doors. Well after about a week of watching how we unlock the doors he went over to a door, got his dad's attention, then pointed to the key up above the door and then to the door handle - trying to get his daddy to unlock the door. He learns so fast!! At least that childproof method is safe until he is tall enough to reach above the door!!!
